Ethiopia draws Nigeria,Zambia and Burkina Faso in Afcon 2013

The Ethiopian National Team(Walia) is lucky enough to avoid the heavyweights Ghana and Ivory Coast but the super Eagles and the defending champions  chipolopolo does not seem an easy opponent either. The Council of East and Central Africa Football Association (CECAFA) secretary general Nicholas Musonye told Goal.com Ethiopia's Group in the coming Africa Cup of Nations as ‘group of death.”
“To me Group C is the toughest of all,” said Musonye immediately after the conclusion of the draw conducted in Durban.
“Ethiopia are definitely the dark horses in this group but I still rate them highly. I expect them to cause upsets.”
Musonye added, “After qualifying at expense of Sudan, Ethiopia should not be underrated and it should also be noted that any team that qualifies for such a tournament is either good enough or have the potential to shine and that is why I rate Ethiopia to excel.”
“Ethiopia were the best the East African region could produce for the tournament and we will be rallying behind them. My plea is to Ethiopia federation to take the Afcon tournament seriously and start early preparations coupled with friendly matches since the event is not far away and draw is now out.”
