Indian Investment in Ethiopia on the rise (Oct 19, 2012)

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ethiopian Ambassador to India, Genet Zewede announced that the involvement of Indian investors in Ethiopia is increasing from time to time due to favorable investment conditions in the country. She noted that Indian investors are engaged in sectors like leather processing, agriculture, mining, agro- processing, bio-gas and steel processing, among others. Ambassador Genet explained government's policy that encourages the development of agro-processing industries and from which Indian and other investors could benefit a lot. She also lauded the growing relation of the two countries in different aspects such as trade, investment and cultural cooperation.
