Addis Ababa, Nov 9 (Prensa Latina) Ethiopia and Cuba signed here a new agreement in the area of Vocational Technical Education which will expand collaboration in this important sector, diplomatic sources said.
The document was signed by the Ethiopian State Minister for Technical Education, Wendosen Kiflu, and the Cuban ambassador in Addis Ababa, Juan Manuel Rodriguez.
With the signing of the agreement, a dozen Cuban professionals are expected to shortly arrive in Ethiopia to support their efforts to achieve further development in this area.
Currently, 15 Cuban professors teach at seven universities in Ethiopia as part of the General Convention of Higher Education.
Kiflu and Rodriguez talked about issues of common interest in the field of Education, according to the sources.
Likewise, the Cuban diplomat explained Kiflu the updating progress of the Cubas economic policy.
He further mentioned the resolution Cuba will present on November 13 at the United Nations to demand an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by successive U.S. administrations against Cuba for over 50 years.
